INGRIDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, breast, etc.)
- Buttermilk
- All-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper
- Paprika
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
HOW TO MAKE:
- In a large bowl, soak chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- In another bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F.
- Dredge each chicken piece in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes for dark meat and 10-15 minutes for white meat. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or biscuits.
