Ingredients

Pork ribs 2-3 lbs
Marinade
Soy sauce ½ cup soy sauce
Tomato ketchup 1/2 cup
Brown Sugar 1/4 cup
Sherry 3 tbsp
1 chili (red fresh, minced or 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper, to taste)
Thai Sauce
Rice vinegar/ apple Cidar Vinegar 3/4 cup
Brown sugar 1/3 cup
1 chili minced
Fish sauce 3 tbsp
Garlic cloves 3 minced
Lime juice 1 tbsp
Garnish
Onions 2-3 sliced finely
Optional: Coriander 1/2 cup (fresh, roughly chopped)

This is an easy homemade baked ribs recipe that offers a platter of tender ribs with a sticky, tangy taste. This baked chicken recipe is finished in the oven, avoiding any messy procedure. The ribs, when dipped in authentic Thai sauce, make an outstanding party serving.

Step 1

Pack the chopped ribs (along with the fat) into a 9/3 baking tray.

Make the marinade out of the sugar and other marinade ingredients to pour over the ribs. Mix well to coat all sides. Marinate for minimum 10 minutes or up to a day in refrigerator for better taste.

Put the oven to preheat at 325 degrees. The marinade should be well covering the ribs. Cover the tray with a lid or foil and bake for an hour.

Removing the tray from the oven spread the sauce nicely over the ribs. Ensure that no ribs are left dry from sauce coating. Again cover the tray and bake for another 1 hour.

While the baking is on, put the Thai sauce ingredients in a pan and set to boil at high flame then turn down to medium flame. Boil till the sauce becomes 1/3 and much thickened.

Remove the sauce from heat and add lime juice. Do a taste-test to check the sweet, sour, or salty flavor of the sauce. Adjust as per taste if required. The taste should be strong in every aspect. When added to ribs, the overall taste should be delicious.

When ribs are cooked to tender to shift them from flame to a platter, drizzle the Thai sauce on top and garnish with coriander and green onion.
